Dennis Heijn (1963), father of seven, was an international manager for Heineken from 1987 to 2004, living and working in Argentina, Israel, Hong Kong and Italy. He successfully followed the corporate career path until August 2004, when he realised he was following rather than thinking for himself. He left Heineken and took a sabbatical to deepen his knowledge of inspiring world thinkers.

In The Fearless Monkey Dennis connects the learnings and insights from this period with his life at home and at work, including his experiences in corporate life, as an entrepreneur, his candidacy for directorship at Ajax football club and the kidnapping of his father.

Thank you for visiting the website and for your interest in The Fearless Monkey. It’s been quite a journey! Throughout the journey I have checked where I am.  Am I just following or am I thinking for myself? I have followed often, only to realise I am not going in the right direction and need to start thinking for myself again.
I live what I write about, so I am often a monkey and sometimes a king. It is very exciting to share this with you.
